More ATCs for Pocket Letter

Hi, everyone!  It's the final day of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  The hop will be over in a few short hours - I've really enjoyed myself this week!  I hope you had a chance to join the fun!

I wasn't able to finish my second Pocket Letter today, but I did make three more ATCs so I'm getting very close! An ATC measures 2.5" x 3.5" and it takes nine of them to fill a Pocket Letter. I will share my finished Pocket Letter as soon as it's ready!

Card #1

I made a shaker ATC! This precious tea-drinking kitty is from Knitty Kitty Digis and is one of four images in the Kit T and Cake Decoupage Set (shown below):

More ATCs and Finished Pocket Letter

Hello, everybody!  I'm back again today - this is my second post!  I'm participating in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and there's only one more day left (sad face)!  I'm sharing two ATCs (they measure 2.5" x 3.5") and a tag to complete one of my Pocket Letters - Yay! I'll work on the other Pocket Letter tomorrow but I'm uncertain if I'll be able to complete it... we'll see!

Card #1

My first ATC features an adorable kitty from Your Next Stamp - Coffee Right Meow.  I coloured her with Touch Five markers and die-cut with the coordinating die.

I was inspired by the colours for Challenge 48 at Your Next Stamp:

Here are the other products used:
  • Sentiment stamp: Your Next Stamp - Coffee Break
  • Dies: Impression Obsession Oak Leaves, Impression Obsession Swirl Tree, Lawn Fawn Grassy Border, Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers
  • Patterned paper: Doodlebug
  • Other: Sparkly washi tape from my stash

Card #2

This ATC features an adorable little Coffee Hedgehog from By Miss Rach.  This was a freebie a few years ago (thank you, Miss Rach!). I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop her up on foam tape. I made some leaves with distress inks and splatters!

Here are the  other products used:
  • Stamps:  Sentiment (Kelly Purkey Fall Favorites), Coffee Word Background (received from Hetty - thank you!)
  • Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves and Small Stitched Leaves, Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers
  • Patterned paper: K and Company, Doodlebug
  • Other:  Sparkly washi tape and tiny gem from my stash

Tag

I made a tag to attach to the Pocket Letter - I think it adds a nice finishing touch!  The cute image is from Gerda Steiner Designs called Mr. Mouse with Coffee. He was a freebie at one point (thank you, Gerda!).  I coloured him with Touch Five markers and fussy-cut so I could pop him up with foam tape.

Here are the other products used:
  • Sentiment stamp:  Lawn Fawn Chit Chat
  • Dies:  My Creative Time Tag Dies and Tag Layers, Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves and Small Stitched Leaves
  • Embossing folder:  Elizabeth Craft Coffee Bean
  • Ribbon: Won it from Karen at Little Scrap Pieces (thank you!)
  • Other:  WRMK Crop-A-Dile and eyelet, sparkly washi tape from my stash

Finished Pocket Letter

Here's what you've been waiting for - my finished Pocket Letter!  I love how it turned out! So many cute coffee critters - they make me smile!  I know the recipient is going to love it too!

I'm still working on the little ATCs for my Pocket Letter!  An ATC measures 2.5" x 3.5" and I need nine of them to complete a Pocket Letter. For some crazy reason, I thought I could finish two Pocket Letters during this hop.  I guess I should have started earlier!

Cup of Cheer

Hello, everyone! It's Day 5 of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Have you checked out the hop yet? You can read all about it here.

Today I'm sharing another ATC - it measures 2.5" x 3.5" and is the perfect size for a Pocket Letter. I'm working on two Pocket Letters now and my goal is to finish them during the hop!

I used an adorable digi from Craftin Desert Divas called Coffee Time Bunny. It's brand new for the hop! I went with the pre-coloured version since it's already so cute! I die-cut it into a circle with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circles and inked around the circle with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things - Hug in a Mug. The patterned paper is from K and Company and I inked the edges with the same Distress Ink. It is layered onto kraft cardstock, which I die-cut with Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers. I finished off the card with two flower cup sequins.

All of the stamps on this card are from Pink and Main:

Pink and Main is also a Super Sponsor of the hop - thank you, Michelle! I coloured the images with Touch Five markers and added Clear Wink of Stella glitter to the leaves and Glossy Accents to the owl's eyes. I used the coordinating Wild About You Die for the owl and fussy-cut the other images. The card is die-cut with Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers.

I would like to support these challenges:

For You Froggie

Hello, everyone! I'm back again! This is my second post today!  This time I'm sharing a froggie card! I made this for a male family member who loves frogs. I tried to keep it masculine - you know I struggle with those! Hopefully he won't mind the sparkle!

This adorable image is called For You Froggie from My Stitch Back in Twine and it was available as a freebie at Creative Moments (thank you!). I coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and fussy-cut so I could pop him up on foam tape. I also added Glossy Accents to his eyes.

My card was inspired by the DCWV September Stack-a-holic card sketch:

Here are the other products used:
  • Designer paper:  DCWV Painted Petals Premium Stack 12" x 12" and Glitter Cardstock Stack -  Jewels 6" x 6"

Pure Bliss and Warm Heart

Hello, everyone! Today is Day 3 of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! This hop is open to anyone so I hope to see you over there!  You can read all about it here.

Today I'm sharing two more ATCs - they each measure 2.5" x 3.5" and are the perfect size for a Pocket Letter, which I'm hoping to have completed by the end of the hop! Actually I've started a second Pocket Letter but haven't finished the first one yet. I wanted to change colour combos! Will I make enough ATCs to finish both Pocket Letters during the hop?  I don't know but I'm going to try! I'm really having fun with them!

Card #1

This dancing kitty makes me smile! He's from Poppystamps Purrfect Holiday and I coloured him with Touch Five markers and then die-cut with the coordinating die. The pumpkin cup is a digi from Verve Stamps called Latte Love and it was a freebie during last year's fall hop (thank you!). I coloured the cup with Zig markers, inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, and fussy-cut. The patterned paper is from K and Company and I inked the edges with the same Distress Ink.  It is layered onto kraft cardstock, which I die-cut with Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers. I stamped the sentiment from Your Next Stamp - Coffee Break and finished off the card with a few brown sequins.

Card #2

This adorable chipmunk is unfortunately no longer available. It came from Deedee's Digis and I used the precoloured version.  I die-cut the image with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rounded Squares and inked around the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I die-cut the kraft cardstock with Gina Marie Stitched Rounded Rectangles and stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things - Hug in a Mug. I finished off the card with Crafty Ribbons sheer organza ribbon and bow.

This card was inspired by the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Hello, everyone! I'm back again today! This is my second post!  I'm so excited for the start of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop that I had to link up a second entry!  By the way, anyone can join this hop! Just link up a newly created fall-themed project that focuses on coffee, tea, or cocoa. The linky is open until September 30 so you have plenty of time!

I love this cute kitty image! It's from Di's Digi Stamps called Kitty in a Teacup, and I coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. The "Sweet Wishes" sentiment stamp is from SugarPea Designs - Sweet Treats Christmas. I used patterned papers from Lawn Fawn Polka in the Dark and Doodlebug Friendly Forest. I finished it off with a metallic leaf for fall. This card is an ATC so it's a smaller size of 2.5" x 3.5". I hope to make more this size so I can put them together in a Pocket Letter!

I was inspired by the sketch at Mix it Up Challenge 15 at Sugar Pea Designs and the colours at Cupcake Inspirations.

Star Trek Birthday Cards

Hello, everyone!  Before I get started, I would like to welcome my newest follower - Carole - thank you for joining me!

Today I'm sharing two cards I made for Brian's birthday! Today is his day!  When I asked him a couple months ago what kind of card he would like, he requested a Star Trek theme so this is what I've made!

Card #1
This is the first time I've attempted a galaxy background with Distress Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, and Black Soot. I add splatters of water as well as some white acrylic paint mixed with water. The galaxy background was a little trickier than I thought, and of the two I made, this was the better one, so I went with it.  I die-cut the inky background with Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rectangles and mounted on black cardstock.

I found an image of the original Starship Enterprise by doing a Google search.  I printed it on photo paper and fussy-cut.  I found the sentiment through a Google search as well and then die-cut with Gina Marie Designs Drop Pennant. I finished off the card with three tiny star sequins.

Card #2
For my second card, I wanted to mark the 50th anniversary of Star Trek's debut in 1966.  I found the Trek 50 insignia through a Google search, printed it on photo paper, and placed it behind a card panel die-cut with Gina Marie Designs Dot Studs Circle. It's hard to tell in the photo but the card is outlined in sparkly black washi tape and there is a thin strip of sparkly black washi across the card. I followed the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches (shown below).  The sentiment is from Create with TLC and it was a freebie at one point (thank you!).  I printed it on yellow cardstock and die-cut with Impression Obsession Banners and Tails.

I would also like to support the following challenges: Artistic Inspirations AG UE; Craft Your Passion AG 2/3; Creative Craft Cottage AG 1/3; Crop Stop Linky Party #20 (Card #1 - Distress Inks available at Crop Stop here) 3/5; Die Cuttin Divas Birthday 1/3; DL.ART September Linky AG UE 1/d; Doing Life AG with Create with TLC (Card #2) 1E; Glitter n Sparkle AG 3/3; Inspiration Destination AG UE; Just Keep On Creating AG UE; Memories Crafter Catherine's Challenge - New Colouring Medium (Card #1 - first time trying galaxy background); Mod Squad Celebrate Your Inner Splat (Card #1) 1/3; Not Just Cards September AG UE; One Stitch at a Time AG Special Day UE; Penny's Paper-crafty AG 1/3; The Male Room Star Trek; The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Punches or Dies 2/2; Through the Craftroom Door AG 1/2; Word Art Wednesday AG w Uplifting Sentiment wk2 1/5

Fawn Birthday

Hello, everyone! Today I'm sharing a fall birthday card. I love this cute little fawn! This little cutie is actually a layering stamp so I didn't do any colouring. I have a tip for using layering stamps:  make ink swatches before stamping! It will save a lot of time (learned the hard way!).

I started out making this card as a masculine one, but now I don't know. What do you think?  It does seem a bit more masculine than feminine but I would appreciate your thoughts.

Here are the products used:
  • Rubber/clear stamps:  Paperbabe Reindeer Fusions, Clearly Besotted ("make a wish" sentiment), Whimsy Stamps (vertical sentiment)
  • Ink:  Memento - Rich Cocoa, Toffee Crunch, Desert Sand
  • Patterned paper:  Doodlebug Friendly Forest
  • Other:  Washi tape and sequins from my stash
